We have four diverse and exciting Israel-related events coming up at Congregation Beth Israel!
1. Book Signing: Sunday, Feb. 8, 4 p.m. -- CBI members Prof. Michael and Sara Leitner will give a presentation and sign their new book on Israeli life and eisure. 25% of proceeds will benefit CBI.
2. Rabbi from Jerusalem to Speak
Rabbi Barry Leff of Jerusalem will give our Devar Torah on Saturday, Feb. 14, at our 10 a.m. Torah service (during the Torah reading that starts at 11 a.m.). Rabbi Leff is active in the Conservative (Masorati) movement and on the board of Rabbis for Human Rights, Israel.
3. Experiential Kabbalat Shabbat with Gabriel Meyer Halevy
Prayer - Songs and Stories of Peacemaking and Crosscultural Bridges

4. Talk on the Israeli Elections March, 20, 7:30 p.m.
CBI member Irv Schiffman, Professor Emeritus of Polical Science at Chico State, will help us understand the results of the Israeli elections (the elections are March 17). We hope to see you at these events, and please bring your friends.
